  1. Listen first.

    Understand the idea, the constraints, and what the design is trying to protect before deciding how to build it.

  2. Bring a point of view.

    I’ll be honest about what I think will work, what may not, and the opportunities I see once the work reaches the browser.

  3. Work it out together.

    Differing opinions come with people who care. I try to understand where each perspective comes from and find the answer that best serves the work.

  4. Finish the details.

    The last ten percent is where typography, spacing, states, performance, accessibility, and launch readiness become the work.
